What do I get with a Gig2Gig Performer+ Subscription? 

Access to Instant Feedback, Past Auditions, Push Notifications and Updates, Marketplace, and Support Forum.


Who can subscribe for a Gig2Gig Performer+ account? 

Anyone.


Who can subscribe for a Gig2Gig Casting account? 

Casting Agencies, Directors, Theaters, Universities, & Production Companies. All casting accounts that cannot be verified by Gig2Gig staff are subject to cancellation. 


How come I cannot close a pop up screen? 

Make sure that the White X in the upper left corner is not hidden by a white background on the image. 


How do I add something within a text field? 

When adding information into a text field (tags, comments, skills, etc.), type your entry into the text field and then press the + to add the tag or comment.


Can I scan into an audition with my Free Performer Account? 

Yes. You can create a profile, browse auditions, scan in to auditions, and submit yourself for online submissions. 


Can I submit myself for online submissions with my Free Performer Account? 

For now, yes. In the future, this may become a feature that is only available with a subscription. However, right now we are offering this feature for free. 


Can I participate in Remote Auditions with my Free Performer Account? 

For now, yes. In the future, this may become a feature that is only available with a subscription. However, right now we are offering this feature for free. 


How do I see the “Audition Materials” that I added from an audition? 

We suggest that performers ALWAYS click “Add Audition Materials” when saving and attending an audition. The Audition Materials will be visible in “MY MEDIA” under “Audition Materials.” 


Why can’t I log into two separate accounts on one device? 

If you are a subscriber, the subscription will be assigned to one device only per account.


If I am not at an audition in person, but I will audition remotely, how do I check in? 

There are two ways to check in remotely. One way is to screenshot your QR code and send it to the casting director holding the audition and they can “change method” on the check in screen and drag and drop the screenshot into the check in box. The other is to email the casting director and have them check you in manually. 


If I have already uploaded my Resume, do I need to fill in Credits and Education? 

Gig2Gig is working to implement Smart Matching. Therefore, any data that we can collect will assist us in matching you to Breakdowns that you are right for. We encourage all Gig2Gig Users to fill out as much information as they can in order for us to alert you of Roles that you might be suitable for. 


I am a student and I am using Gig2Gig to audition for an Academic Production. Do I need to Subscribe? 

Academic Auditions do not provide Feedback to attendees. So, even if you subscribe, you will not receive Feedback for an Academic Audition. You are more than welcome to Subscribe and use Gig2Gig for Professional Auditions as well if you would like. 


I am using a .edu email and I am not receiving emails from Gig2Gig or from the University Casting Account. Why is this happening? 

Sometimes we find that .edu servers have strict restrictions and cyber security measures block emails from auto distributors. If you are having trouble receiving or sending emails with Gig2Gig, please contact your University’s IT Department and ask for them to put @gig2gig.com emails on their Safe List. 


I created my account, but now I can’t seem to login. 

Make sure that you are on the correct platform. If accessing the Performer or Casting platform via the Gig2Gig website, make sure that you have selected either Performers or Casting from the menu. The login for the website is a different login than the login for the Gig2Gig platform. If logging in on a device, and still having a problem, please select Forgot Password. You will receive an email (check your Junk Mail folder) with a link to reset your password. 


I am trying to access the website on my phone and it is hard to read. 

Yes. If trying to pull up the Web platform on a device, it may be in the wrong format for your phone or iPad. This is why we have created the Gig2Gig Performer App for phones, and the Gig2Gig Casting App for iPads. Please visit the app stores to download the appropriate platform to your device. 


In the Casting Platform Auditions where you see all of the performers, what is the “Code” field for at the top right side of the screen? 

Whenever you “Share” a performer with another Gig2Gig user, they will receive an email with a CODE to enter into that section. This will add that Performer to their Talent Database, even if they are not a Team Member of your Casting Agency. 


What are the Green Checks, Red X’s, and Orange arrows for? 

For Casting accounts, these are “quick message” options that will send a pre-populated message to each performer. In your Casting Account, go to Settings, Instant Feedback, and you can create your own messages. You will also have the option to send a custom message when selecting the Green Check. 


What is the Chat for when an audition is open in a Casting Account? 

The Chat feature is used to chat internally with your casting team and the audition contributors.


How do I add Team Members to my Casting Account? 

When you first create your Casting Account, you will be prompted to add team members. If you have already created your Casting Account, you can go into Settings, Subscription, and click Invite User. Make sure your team members check their Spam or Junk Mail folders. 


How do I add contributors to an audition in my Casting Account? 

When creating an audition, Click the link at the top right of the screen “Invite Contributors” and enter the email addresses of the contributors you’d like to add. 


I was just invited as a Contributor for an Audition. How do I Accept the Invitation? 

You will be sent an email to notify you that you have an invitation waiting. Once you login to your Casting Account, Select “Notifications” and you will see the Invitation listed there. You will then have the opportunity to select Accept or Decline. 


What is “Notify Agent” for? 

The Notify Agent button will automatically send an email to the representation you have on file with Gig2Gig, alerting them that you are interested in, will be attending, or are requesting an appointment for that specific audition. 


What is “Request Appointment” for? 

This feature is for closed auditions or for auditions that are accepting appointments. Eventually, in Phase 3 of development, we will have a Gig2Gig Agent platform that will be incorporated into this system. For now, however, this feature will allow you to request an appointment from the Casting team that is holding the audition. You can also save the audition to “Upcoming” and attend it as an open call if offered. 


What is “Save Audition” for? 

If you find an audition that you would like to attend, you can select Save Audition and it will automatically add the audition to your “Upcoming Auditions.” 


What if a contributor email says it is already registered or a contributor doesn’t receive the invite? 

We are working to change this and allow cross contributors for different Agencies. However, if a contributor does not receive an invite email, have them check their Spam Folder to see if the invite has gone to Spam or Junk Mail. 


How come I can’t see the Green Checks and Red X’s icons under the performers photos? 

Make sure you are in the “Manage” Section of the audition and not the “Info” Section. Also, the round has to be open with active performers in order to use the icons. 


I have already selected a Check or X for a performer, can I select one again for that performer? 

No. Once a contributor uses the Green Check / Red X feature, it will become unavailable for all other contributors. This is to cut down on the duplicate messages sent to performers. We recommend assigning each contributor a role in order to avoid confusion. However, all functions are available to all contributors for each audition. (i.e. Check In Mode; Monitor Mode; Feedback; Share Performer; Record Audition). 


What if I don’t want Feedback? 

You may turn off Notifications and Feedback in your Settings Tab. You will also not receive feedback or notifications with the Free Account. 


Can I submit myself for multiple roles for an Online Submission? 

Yes. You can highlight the check marks next to all of the roles that you are interested in. 


Who sees my profile and media? 

Your information and Profile is only shared within Gig2Gig and is visible only to Casting teams who view your profile. 


Who sees what I upload or attach to an online submission? 

The casting team that is accepting submissions will be the only recipient of your online submission.
